The brief considers a Palm Beach residence that respects the island’s decorative confidence and garden culture while feeling edited, contemporary and comfortable for seasonal family life.

What the design needed to resolve.
The spatial challenge
The plan needed to support larger entertaining without making everyday seating feel formal or distant, and to strengthen movement between interior rooms, shaded terraces and planting.
What changed
BN2 established a quiet architectural base, then layered botanical color, tailored upholstery and collected silhouettes in controlled intervals. Garden views now conclude major axes through the house.
Custom decisions
The library, bar, kitchen cabinetry and primary-suite storage were developed in limed oak with specific display moments, antique-brass details and lighting integrated into the millwork.
Material logic
Selected for character, light and use.
Shell limestone relates to the exterior setting; limed oak keeps millwork light; woven cane introduces ventilation and texture. Celadon, sea-glass blue and antique brass bring Palm Beach character without pastiche.
